Categories for RITA 2021

Project Awards
Project of the Year (total budget > 250k)
This award is for the team whose technology project demonstrates delivering great value to the customer and the stakeholders, effective use of management tools and techniques as well as innovative delivery approaches. Measurements of success, including metrics, are critical components of any submission. For this category the total spend for the project is over £250K.
Project of the Year (total budget < £250k)
This award is for the team whose technology project demonstrates delivering great value to the customer and the stakeholders, effective use of management techniques and tools, as well as innovative delivery approaches. Measurements of success, including metrics, are critical components of any submission. For this category the total spend for the project is up to £250K.
Operational Efficiency
This award will be presented to the organisation that has delivered top quality services or products to their customers, in the most resourceful way possible. Show how efficiencies have been made while at the same time maintaining high quality products and services. Please include metrics to support your submission - these can include time/effort, people and finances.
Delivering Excellent Customer Experience
This award recognises technology divisions who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to their organisation’s customer experience, anticipating customer needs, tailoring business processes to best serve customers and exceeding their expectations. You will need to demonstrate the steps you have taken to prioritise the customer and to contribute to more customer-centric culture.
Organisational Awards
Outstanding Team of the Year
This award will go to a team that set high standards and was successful in bringing tangible and significant benefits to their business. This category invites submissions from teams that drive best practices, positively impact efficiency, productivity and performance of their organisation and contribute to truly collaborative culture.
Practicing Inclusive Excellence in the Workplace
Demonstrate how your team has incorporated Diversity & Inclusion values and behaviours in the way they work and how your practices have positively impacted on the organisational culture. Show how you as a team have demonstrated your commitment to inclusion across varying areas of diversity.
Employer of the Year
This award recognises organisations that have created a supportive work environment with a real commitment to their technology teams. Show how engagement has been developed - including motivation, productivity, great collaboration and how this has led to creating a great workplace culture.
Supplier of the Year
Awarded to a supplier who can demonstrate excellent performance in delivery, customer relations, cost, quality and reliability. Show how you have partnered with organisations to deliver value in product and or service. The judges will also be looking for innovative ways you may be doing this as well other areas you can show merit such as impact in a wider community, sustainability and diversity and inclusion.
Innovation Awards
Best Use of New Technologies
This award recognizes implementation of a pioneering and transformative technology that has been used to drive overall business performance. Please show clearly how your innovative use of new technology impacts the business.
Product Innovation
This award will go to the organisation demonstrating the most outstanding product innovation. Please describe how you have implemented a new or significantly improved/redesigned a product. You may have created new functionality or components to make your product stand out from the rest.
Transformation of the Year
This award recognises an organisation that have truly pushed the boundaries towards transforming their business. Tell the judges about the impact of the work you have done, creating innovation in your workplace and demonstrate how this has led to significant change and transformation. This could be in the areas of customers, employees or processes.
